Description
Crowd-pleasing country, folk, & honky-tonk duo
Texas songwriting with a vintage feel
Max’s music is a deft blend of traditional country, folk, and Western swing with touches of classic rock, R&B, and jazz, and his poetic lyricism reflects an astute understanding of the art of top-shelf song craft gleaned by studying such masters as Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Robert Earl Keen, and Ray Wylie Hubbard. Heather Stalling, Max’s wife, is an award-winning violinist and fiddle player and a founding member of the Texas band blacktop GYPSY.
